This is an all levels technique class for dancers, aerialists and pole dancers! Discover your beautiful lines, extension, balance, pointing your feet and other nuance. Increase your leg and core strength and find optimum flexibility in your movement. Elements of performance technique and play will be sure to take your presence to the next level! This class is accessible to all bodies and level of experience. 


Class will include various fundamental movements from ballet, hip-hop and contemporary play. Learn to transition from one movement to the next with grace. Engage your deliberate practice and let this carry over to all of your apparatus work and movement styles!

We hope to put some rosie in those cheeks! Dare to find your Moxy magic here! This class is carefully designed for you to re-awaken and express your uniqueness of movement through sensual, feminine and natural movement and dance. This class promotes mind/body/heart connection and expression. Each class will have an intentional musical piece, with choreography, guided movement and freestyle elements blended. This class contains “Exotic” elements of dance, and is a safe place to explore what “sexy” or “sensual” movement means and feels like. A private room, dimly lit with colored lights and loud music sets the scene. Pole, floor and chair work is explored. Please, let your hair down, and wear the red lipstick if you’d like. Any level of experience is welcome, and those with dance experience will gain a deeper richness within their art. Ages 18 + for this class.

Some of the greatest gifts begin in the belly, so let’s learn how to move it!

 

Level 1 - The place to start! Come and explore the fundamental movements of this exciting and intoxicating dance style. Technique will be learned through drills, as well as combinations of movements to find flow and continuity. Yoga and dance influenced warm-ups and cool-downs utilized. 

Level 2 - For those with some experience, take your fundamentals up a notch!

Develop more complex movements and various styles of Belly Dance, playing with layers, levels, traveling movements, combinations, choreography and    multiple dance rhythms.

Stretch yourself! Dance and aerial arts require attention to physical strength as well as flexibility in the body. The intention of this class is to improve and grow your capacity to stretch your body. The techniques taught here support the safe progressions for your body. The keys to improve flexibility are consistency in practice and patience. Whether you’re new to practice or experienced and want to grow more, this is a wonderful place to do so!

All levels welcome! You will play with mindfully moving through yoga postures and movements from belly dance. This movement blend comes together to help you not only condition your body for flexibility and stamina, but to better remain calm when in stressful situations. You'll discover how to keep your intention in your movement while also challenging yourself with new technique and movement vocabulary. Breathe new life into your other performance and movement skills. This is training, perhaps the most important kind; training yourself to be fully flushed with your purpose while holding space for yourself, your technique, and the gaze of others.

All levels welcome to this 30 minute class! Great for people on to go - get a quick full body workout and improve your posture, balance and flexibility. Tone and strengthen your core, your abdominal and back muscles!

 

Utilizing a combination of calisthenics (body weight exercises), yoga techniques and strengthening exercises, you'll finish this good workout off with muscle lengthening stretches.
